For the first project I used the Lorna Label as a single pop-up label as designed.
This simple birthday card measures 5" x 5" when closed. In addition to the Lorna Label Pop-up I used Word Set 18 - Connectors to make the first half of the greeting. The birthday candles came from Birthday Candle Add-ons and lion from the Monkey and Lion set. The labels and fishtail banner are included in the Lorna Label set.
Open the card to reveal a generic label pop-up just perfect for any occasion. I used the lion and candles again and then for the greeting I used Happy Birthday and Happy Birthday Shadow.
For the second project in the video I created a double Lorna Label Pop-up by folding the cardstock before die cutting. With this technique there are pop-up labels on the back wall and the floor of the card.
My card measures 5" x 6" when folded. For the front of the card I used the labels and banner from the Lorna Label Pop-up and embellished with butterflies from Butterfly Collage Add-ons.
Open the card to reveal an explosion of butterflies. The "hello" greeting comes from Word Set 6 - Summer. The butterflies are cut from a mixture of specialty papers, including glitter, glossy and Shimmer Sheetz. I colored the bodies and antennae of the smaller butterflies with a black alcohol marker.
I used the smaller label to cut out of the pop-up label to create a frame. Then I suspended fishing line across the frame opening and attached a 3D butterfly to the fishing line. I also created slots in the lower pop-up label to add L supports for additional pop-up butterflies.
