Parcel Pop-up Magic Card Part 2

Yes, I know I've promised a video tutorial for how to do the Magic Card technique with the Parcel Pop-up die set. I ordered a rubber stamp to use in the video so I'm waiting for that to arrive before I can shoot the video.

In the meantime, I got to wondering how this card would work using one of our animal dies for the magic trick. The reason this technique is always used with an outline stamp is because you need to be able to stamp the image onto the transparency for the black & white version. Then you stamp the image and color it in for the magic trick.

My solution was to trace the outlines of the turkey onto the transparency with a black Sharpie. Obviously the lines aren't as crisp and perfect as they would be by using a stamp, but it is still a cool look and a great way to use this technique with our animal die sets.

This card measures 4.25" x 5" when closed. It is a bottom-fold clear-front card with a magnetic closure. I used our new Flap and Closure die set for the flap. The leaves, pumpkin and acorn came from our Autumn Elements die set and the word "Blessings" from our Word Set 7 - Autumn die set.

As the card opens the turkey starts to lift up and out of the parcel. A stamped greeting (Lawn Fawn) is revealed as well. The scalloped border on the bottom flap was made using our Border Blends - Argyle die set.

Once open, the turkey has "magically" turned to color. The turkey is one of the animals in our Feathered Animals die set. The patterned papers on this card are from Photo Play.

I will teach both a die version and a stamped version in the video as soon as my new stamp arrives.
