She seems to think that I will be a valuable resource in the "how to mother twins" department, but I must say that the early years are a complete blur. It was, after all, 18 years ago!
Although they do plan to find out the sex(es) of the babies, they don't know yet, so when I saw this Crate Paper line with the animal crackers and wood chevron I thought it would be perfect for a neutral card. The front of the card features two cut-aparts from a piece of paper in the collection. I combined them along with a handwritten "and" to make it a "Sweet little baby and baby" greeting. The little stitched baby pajamas are from the Baby Charms die set.
As the card is opened you see the Flower Pot start to expand. I stamped Congratulations in gray ink onto one of the labels from the Labels & Circles die set.
The animal crackers paper was the perfect choice for both the background and the filling. I fussy cut a bunch of animals from the leftover paper and combined them with the Baby Charms to fill the pot.
On all the animals I added tiny glitter dots over their eyes to give them some extra personality. The baby pajamas die has a heart-shaped stencil feature, so I simply used a pencil through the heart stencil and then colored it with a peach marker.
My friend is not a crafter, but perhaps I can convert her! Heh heh heh. We had a nice girls' day out with lunch and a movie (Bridget Jones' Baby, naturally!) and she loved the card.
