Coffee Lovers Fall Hop - Twist Circle Panel Card
September 30, 2016
This is my project for the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop.
I've made another version of the Twist Circle Panel Card from this week's Designer Challenge Video.
The front of my card features elements from the Cup Pop Stand and Hanging Charm Pull Tab, along with a coffee-themed stamp set from Verve. The card measures 5" x 6" when closed.
As the card is opened the panels start to twist and raise. This is a modification of the Twist Circle die.
Once open, the panels pop-up in the center of the card. I decorated them with various coffee-themed dies and stamps. I also added additional pop-up layers by cutting the tiered pop-up from the Hot Air Balloon into each valley fold.
You can see the extra pop-up platforms in this side view. This gave me the opportunity to make many layers to my scene.
In addition to the Cup Pop Stand (large cup, steam, spoon, coffee beans) I used the to-go coffee cup charm from the Hanging Charm Pull Tab. I also used the postage edge from the Paris Edges to cut out my pop-up greeting and to add borders to the background of the card. The frame and greeting are inlaid into the background to avoid any catch points as the panels pop up.
