I really wish I didn't have to make this card, but one week ago my friend Debra Hensley unexpectedly passed away.
I first met Debra when I started teaching pop-up classes at Scrapp'n Savvy, in Spring, Texas. Debra was also an instructor there and made the most beautiful cards, often using Elizabeth Craft Designs glitter, peel-offs and her mad, mad Copic skills. Debra came to a lot of my classes as a student and gave me a makeshift beginning Copic class when we were both teaching at an out-of-town retreat in Louisiana.
It was on the Louisiana trip that I first met Curtis, Debra's husband of three decades. The love between those two was undeniable - they were clearly a match made in heaven and my heart breaks for Curtis and their children who must now navigate a life without Debra.
Douglas Allen made this beautiful picture collage for the funeral with photos of Debra's life.
Goodbye, my friend.
