*NEW* Pop 'n Cuts House - Video Tutorial

Today I'm blogging on the Sizzix blog with a video tutorial for using some of the new dies from the Sizzix Snippets collection.

Snippets is shipping to stores now, so keep a look out. If she hasn't sold out, Simple Pleasures had some of the House Inserts last weekend when I was there teaching.

Click below to watch the video tutorial for making this card. You'll learn how to cut and fold the House insert, how to use the companion House Thinlits set, including the optional embossing step, how to use the Stitched Framelits to create a raised stitch, creating an easy Floating Floor to allow animation of other objects (in this case, two leaves cut and embossed from Shimmer Sheetz) and see the new Trellis and Swirls embossing folders in action. Whew! That's a lot for 12 minutes!

Here is a printable version of the folds for the Floating Floor for the House insert. Note - you can add pop-ups anywhere on the Floating Floor by cutting slits and adding "L" supports. Watch last month's video for a visual of using a Floating Floor this way: Ribbon Tree Floating Floor Video

I made this project as part of my September Designer Challenge. This month I challenged ten fabulous designer/bloggers to use Karen Burniston dies in a project for an upcoming holiday. You will see amazing creations from Shelly Hickox, Raquel Mason, Kelly Booth, Helen Cryer, Gretchen Schmidt, Frances Byrne, Fran Sabad, Donna Wright, Caz Counsell and Anna-Karin Evaldsson. All of the links are on the Sizzix blog here: Karen Burniston September Designer Challenge: Holiday Projects

Here are some shopping supply links for the products used in my project. As of now, the four Snippets dies are not in stock yet at Scrapbook.com so the links will go to the product pages at Sizzix. As soon as they become available I will update the links.

Hopefully with all the wonderful Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas ideas you'll be inspired to put a little "pop" into your holiday cards!

Happy Crafting!
