It really has been far too long since I "spotted" some folks using my dies.
Louise Charlton is teaching a class using the Accordion Album at Bonnidée in Montreal, Canada and has created a very clever box to hold the album. I asked Louise if I could copy her box idea and create a template and she said yes! So look for that in the next few days. Although you can collapse the album and put it in an envelope, a box is a great way to present it as a gift. Click on this picture of Louise's album to learn more about her class and project:
Kelly Booth is absolutely ROCKING the Pop 'n Cuts! Her cards are stunning and she knows her way around those Copics like nobody's business! Check out her two fun cards that she just whipped up for her twin niece/nephew's 6th birthday. Whipped up! Like nothin'! Kelly is illustrating exactly what I've been saying till I'm blue in the face - the Pop 'n Cuts allow you to get from paper to pop-up in 30 seconds! It lets you spend all your time decorating in your signature style. For Kelly, getting to her stamped images, coloring savantishness, and amazing composition skills within a few minutes meant that her niece/nephew get these amazing pop-up cards! Click on the picture of Jack's card below so you don't miss Morgan's!
Wendee Deal is the Pop 'n Cuts Whisperer of Iowa! She creates amazing cards and then teaches them at her home and local stores in the Cedar Rapids area. Definitely check out Wendee's blog to see her creations. I was especially tickled by the spinner card, where the mistletoe spins out up over the "old lady with a lovely personality"! Love Wendee's sense of humor!
Karen Hudson also created a box for her Accordion Album gift. All these smart box people! I absolutely love this wedding-themed Accordion Album and especially the way Karen added the lacy heart elements in the corners where they don't impede the opening/closing of the album. What a gorgeous addition to the intricacy of the album!
I'd also like to give a shout out to the peeps that tag their pop-up creations on my Facebook wall. Caz always has some gorgeous creations and so does Karrie.
Here is one of Caz's latest Pop 'n Cuts creations using the new Star insert and the companion Party Sizzlits set: I love the way she's combined her stamping (and amazing coloring skills) with the die cut shapes. Such fun colors, too!
And of course you should bookmark all the personal blogs of the amazing Sizzix Design Team. They recently featured Pop 'n Cuts on the Sizzix blog and WOW! Gretchen even included a very helpful "how to use Pop 'n Cuts" video! Click on this gorgeous creation by Tammy Roberts to see all the cards and watch Gretchen's video:
Here's what's so great - I could go on "spotting" all day! It's fabulous to see so many people using the new dies and being so successful with them.
Pop-ups for the win!
