Twist Circle Snowman Card - version 2!

Interesting story about this card.

My original Twist Circle Snowman Card was sent to Els for her shows. It did a fair bit of traveling and I believe it now resides in London at the offices of The Craft Channel, where you may see it on future shows featuring the Twist Circle Pop-up die set.

I was invited to demo at the recent CKC in Houston, and since the original Twist Circle Snowman Card had been so popular, but was, at the time, somewhere in The Netherlands, I decided to make a second version of the card to show in the booth.

Except the card never made it to the booth.

Or it did, and got immediately stolen. Not sure.

Because that card vanished! When I realized during my Friday demo that it was missing I just assumed I had left it at home and would bring it for the Saturday demo. I searched for it that night but it didn't turn up. Yesterday I did some cleaning of my office (vastly overdue) and still held out hope that the card would show up . . . but no!

A mystery!

At least I took photos of it before it vanished. The Fancy Pants patterned papers are years old, from my stash, so you'd have to substitute something from this decade, but any festive winter papers would work well as a backdrop for a fun twist circle snowman.

The card measures 5" x 6" when folded and features a foldover flap with hidden magnets as a closure. I combined the large label dies from the Labels & Circles set with one of the large circles from the Twist Circle set to make the front decoration. It also features the Holiday Charms and some fussy cut mittens from the leftover patterned paper.

What's cool about the Twist Circle die set is the action on the mechanism. In the closed position the snowman sits face up and sideways flat in the card. As the card opens, he starts to raise and twist into the center of the card. The greeting inside the card is made with the Labels & Circles die set and the Holiday Clear Stamps.

Once the card is open the snowman floats in the card. To make the snowman I used the large stitched and medium circles from the Twist Circle set, and then the circle charm from the Sports Charms for his head. There are pop dots between the layers for dimension. The hat is from the Steampunk Charms set and the arms and carrot nose are trimmed branches from the spooky tree in the Halloween Scene set. The snowflake is from the Holiday Charms. His eyes, buttons and smile are black/silver glitter dots.
