Howdy fellow crafters!
This week I'm posting video tutorials for the new products in my summer Pop it Ups release. These products are arriving soon to Elizabeth Craft Designs and should be available in stores (and online) by mid-August.
Today I'm introducing the Flower Pot Pop Stand die set (#1205). Now I don't play favorites with my dies (that would be like picking a favorite kid!) but let's just say that the team went a little gaga over this one when they saw it. It comes with everything required for a beautiful bouquet-in-a-card, but it's when you start filling it with everything else in your collection that you're really going to appreciate this all-purpose die. It has a Pop Stand die included to make it into a pop-up card, but you also have the option to use it as a stand-alone box card. It will stand without a card base, so you have the option to fill it, collapse it and mail it. Here's the video tutorial:
For the video card I also show how to use the new Stripes/Plaid Stage-it Stencil. I used my custom plaid paper on the front of the card, along with the "Celebrate" from the Flourish Gift Frame die set. I'm a fan of creating a simple lead-in for the fronts of pop-up cards. After all, the card will most likely be displayed open, so saving time and supplies by crafting a simple card front gives you more time for making more pop-ups!
When used in a pop-up card the pot will sit diagonally over the fold.
The pot comes with a lattice structure for holding the contents of the pot. You can choose to attach your items facing in all one direction OR facing in two directions. It looks lovely either way. For my video card I chose to fill the pot in both directions.
The new Occasions Clear Stamps provide some nice all-purpose greetings and a small flower that can be cut out using the smallest flower die in the Flower Pot set.

I'll be back tomorrow with another new video!
