Here's a fun way to wish someone a "hog wild" Happy Birthday using the Oval Accordion die.
For the accordion pages I cut two pages from navy cardstock and the center page from light blue cardstock. Before removing the center page from the die I took advantage of the emboss/stencil feature and added stitch marks with a blue pen.
I wanted to use the Oval Clouds Frame Edges but I wanted white clouds, so I added ECD double-sided adhesive to the back of the light blue cardstock before die cutting the Frame Edges. After cutting enough edges to make two frames, I assembled the Frame Edges on a separate piece of white cardstock. I kept the clouds that fell out of the Frame Edges to use in the sky on Page 2. Once I had my cloud frame on white cardstock I cut along the outside and inside edges of the Frame Edges and then glued the finished two-tone frame onto the album.
The new Farm collection of dies plus the companion Farm Greetings Clear stamps are shipping soon to a store near you (check the Coming Soon links in the supply list below). The stamp set includes a chalkboard-esque sentiment stamp to go with each of the three new Characters in the collection. The larger stamps are designed to fit the portrait-style Accordion Albums (Oval, Katie Label and Rectangle) plus the Rectangle Pull Card. And of course you can always selectively ink portions of the stamps to capture just the portion you need.
For today's card I used the entire Happy Birthday chalkboard stamp, stamping in black ink and then coloring in some of the words. I also thought it would be cool to completely cover the "Hog Wild" words with tiny glitter dots for a marquee look.
Virgil the Pig is on the center page. I used the Outdoor Edges to make the rolling grass and the clouds from the Frame Edges in the sky. The party hat is from the Props 2 die set and I filled in the spots on the hat with glitter dots.
Page 3 features more of the accessory oval dies that come included in the Oval Accordion set. I added a peel-off sticker candle, colored it, and then stippled pink ink over the white cardstock. A crepe ribbon bow finished it off.

Elizabeth Craft Designs products can be found in local independent retailers or by using the shopping links before. In addition to these products I used navy, light blue, green, white, pink and coral cardstock, plus matching marker colors. This project would translate very easily into a Congrats or Thank you card by simply substituting the greeting stamp and the Character.
