I had fun with some brand new Peel-off stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs called Little Cuties 1, designed by Judi Kauffman. The larger ballerina fits just perfectly on the Oval Accordion Album.
To make this card I first cut three Oval Accordion pages from a clear material, nesting in the Oval Stitching die (that comes in the set) so each page would also have stitch lines on the transparency. I used Write-on Transparencies from the office supply store, because they are a little sturdier and a little less expensive than printer transparencies. I used red liner tacky tape to attach the outer pages together, knowing that the flourish edgers would mask the tape.
Next I ran some dark pink patterned paper (old Crate Paper 6x6 Christmas stack from my stash, actually) through a Xyron machine before I die cut all the Oval Flourish Edge pieces so they would be stickers.
Then, before adding the Flourish Edges to the front of the album, I pounced them with clear watermark ink and embossed with clear powder so they would be raised and shiny, which I thought would go well with the raised shiny lines on the Peel-offs.
After applying all my embossed Edge pieces to the album, I had a brainstorm that I could run it through the Big Shot to mash down all the stickers so they would be well-applied.
But it also squished out the clear embossing beyond the edges of the flourishes. I decided I liked this effect, so yay for happy accidents!
I used the Oval Accordion die again, this time with the largest Oval die nested inside, to cut some pink oval frames to go behind each page.
To make the Peel-off embellishments I first applied Elizabeth Craft Designs double-sided adhesive to white cardstock. I peeled up the liner from the top of the adhesive. I then used the ECD fine point tweezers to pick up the various Little Cuties Peel-off stickers and arranged them, sticky-side-up, on the adhesive liner that I had just peeled up off the adhesive. I learned how to do this from my friend Debra, who is an expert with ECD products and worse than me with keeping her blog up to date! (Heh) Anyway, now you have all these sticky-side-up stickers that you know will fit on the adhesived-cardstock because you're using the liner to hold them. Press the adhesived-cardstock down over the liner and it will transfer the stickers onto the adhesive and they will be perfect - no bubbles, no overlaps, and none of your fingerprints in the adhesive.
Next I dumped Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter over the adhesive and polished it in with my fingers. This will make the most amazing glitter surface which can then be colored with alcohol markers. (I used Copics)
I colored the extra held Heart and cut around the ballerina's hand to raise the hand over the extra heart, which I attached with pop dots. Summer Hills-Painter recently shared with the Designer Challenge team how she colors clear ECD glitter dots to match her project and I loved that idea! I colored mine with a red Copic marker to match the heart.
I fussy cut all my Peel-off images using ECD detail scissors and then brushed a dark Copic marker on the white edges around each piece to disguise any uneven cutting. I created little heart flowers by combining stickers and then used the decorator Oval dies to create backdrops for them.
Once the pages were decorated I attached the oval pages to complete the assembly of my album by using small glue dots on the small tabs and then, because the pages were transparent and the glue dots were visible, I punched through the glue dots with a Crop-a-Dile and set an eyelet through each tab. I added a companion eyelet on the opposite page for symmetry and then wove twine through each eyelet set and tied on a Peel-off tag embellishment. I added pretty silver beads to the ends of the twine and held them on with crimp beads below the round beads.
All of the oval decorator dies, including this one with the built-in stitch detail, are included with the Oval Accordion Pop it Ups die. For this card, I added Happy Birthday Peel-off stickers, although it would also make a pretty Valentine, Thinking of You, Mothers Day or Thank you card.

Because my album is transparent, I was a little worried about how the back of Little Cutie would look when the album was closed, but I rather liked seeing just the white silhouette in the background, so I left it. I did add more pink Flourish Edges to the back of the album, lining them up with the ones on the front, which was easy to do because the pages are transparent.
Thanks to the super talented Judi Kauffman for designing such fun Peel-off stickers! I love these Little Cuties!
If you haven't tried Peel-off stickers you should. They are very affordable, at $2.10 per sheet. You can use both the outline (positive space) sticker and the remaining inner pieces (negative space) by picking them up with Elizabeth Craft Designs' Transfer Sheet. (Watch a video on that here: How to use Transfer Sheets) Here is a link to purchase transfer sheets: Transfer Sheets.
Here's a visual of how many of the Peel-offs that I used on this project. I can repeat this project three more times and then make another version with the interior pieces and make four more!
