It's Scoreboard Blog Hop day! I have come out of hiding long enough to make a project for the hop and then it's back to the business of moving.
Today's die is the Scoreboard Cake Box. This adorable little box is perfect to hold a small present. Although it was designed to open from the top, with the addition of a hinge and clasp, you can move the opening to the side of the box rather easily.
(Click to make it bigger)
For my cake, I added strips of pink paper inside the cake and then strips of ribbon to the outside of the cake. The "candle" is a battery-operated tealight candle with a push switch underneath. It can be toggled on and off by pressing on it. The "Happy Birthday" message is stamped and embossed in white powder.

Karen, this is so ingenious. I always try to think outside the box, but this opening never occurred to me! Beautiful job.
